Learning Resources Helping Hands Fine Motor Tool Set

Finger Fidgets

Finger fidgets can be used to help develop fine motor skills. More importantly, finger fidgets are great for self-regulation and movement when it is needed. They also are a great aid to be used during long periods of time when sitting still is difficult to do. With the use of fidgets our students will be more readily available to focus, pay attention, keep calm bodies, and practice active listening. These times most often are during morning and afternoon circle times. E.g., theraputty, silly putty, playdough.

Noise Muting Headphones

These headphones are great for ensuring that students are able to keep their focus. For those easily distracted and those who are not so much these headphones and help students keep focus during certain quiet times during the day like reading and homework time.

Theraputty

Exercise putty is used for physical therapy and strengthening hand grasp. Scented Theraputty hand exercise material makes hand therapy more pleasant for youngsters.
